Guy Fieri, restaurateur and star of several Food Network TV shows, reached out to Smucker's Away From Home Business in a plea for support of the many thousands of restaurant workers who have lost wages or employment as a result of COVID-19. Early estimates suggest five to seven million restaurant employees will lose their jobs. And so, Smucker stepped up in a big way, donating $50,000 to the newly created Restaurant Employee Relief Fund. Through the fund, restaurant workers can apply for grants that help offset the hardships caused by COVID-19.
